Floating Garden Coming to Chicago River

extralarge.pngChicago non-profit Urban Rivers has raised money to fund a new, larger river garden to be installed near North Avenue & Goose Island. Urban Rivers has already tested the waters with a smaller 5’x10′ garden near Kingsbury Street Whole Foods, but this garden will span 600 ft in length. The soilless garden will likely house edible plants like tomatoes as well as butterfly-attracting varieties like milkweed. View the video from Urban Rivers here.
